Hazelburn 10 Year is one of the core range of Hazelburn single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Springbank distillery, triple distilled and matured in bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% ABV.
Of the three whiskies produced at the Springbank distillery (Springbank, Longrow and Hazelburn), Hazelburn is known for being ‘triple distilled’ and ‘non-peated’. The distillation and peating of the three whiskies are as follows:
- Springbank (2.5 distillations, lightly peated)
- Longrow (double distilled, heavily peated)
- Hazelburn (triple distilled, non peated)
Tasting Notes
Nose: Toffee apple, fresh honey, and fragrant pear. Notes of vanilla.
Palate: Good mouthfeel coupled with bright aromas of vanilla and crunchy bars (chocolate and honey toffee-flavoured chocolate bars). Underneath, there are more lively fruit notes.
Finish: The aftertaste is oily and sweet.

三回蒸留だからといって、アイリッシュウイスキーやオーヘントッシャンのようなものだと勘違いしないでほしいです。このモルトは熟練したカスクを使用しているため、ドライでリッチ、そして風味豊かな味わいを同時に実現している素晴らしいモルトです。トフィーのアロマ、スプリングバンクのトレードマークであるフルーツの香りが微かに感じられ、オイリーな口当たり、たっぷりのバニラとハチミツに加えて、スパイスと塩が感じられます。少々加水するとそれらがさらに開く。スプリングバンク蒸留所のマイフェイバリットウイスキー。
