The Ghost & Rare series is a limited edition whiskey made from rare and valuable spirits from distilleries that have already closed down.

The Ghost & Rare series includes the following limited editions

• 1st edition: Brora
• 2nd edition: Port Ellen
• 3rd edition: Glenury Royal

Glenury Royal is the third in the Ghosts & Rares series and shines a light on the long-closed Glenurey Royal distillery. As with the first “Brora” and the second “Port Ellen,” rare whiskies from the closed distillery form the core of the blend.

In addition to the single malts from the Glenurie Royal distillery, Master Blender Dr. Jim Beveridge used malts from Pittyvaich, Glen Elgin, Inchgower, Glenlossie and Glenkinchie, as well as Cambus and Cameronbridge grains for a richer expression.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh orchard fruit (pear, peach, sharp green apple notes), savory olive oil notes, and honeycomb toffee.

Plate: Sherry comes to the fore with aromas of dried fruit and cinnamon. You can enjoy a pleasant oiliness while giving off a flower-like lightness.

Finish: Pastry, apple, black pepper. The chocolate element remains.
