Springbank 15 Year Old

This whisky is matured in 100% sherry casks, and has a hint of peat, the sweetness of sherry and caramel, and the aroma of spices, dried fruits, and nuts.

Springbank 15 Year Old has a lot of fans, but some people say that the taste varies depending on the batch.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fragrant and rich. Demerara sugar, dark chocolate, toffee, pineapple, guava and passion fruit on the nose. Notes of dried leather. The characteristic maritime influence of Springbank can be felt.

Palate: Quite full-bodied, rich and creamy. Raisins, dark chocolate, figs, marzipan, Brazil nuts, vanilla. Creamy fruit salad scent and exotic fruit scent. A hint of tobacco comes through from the barrel-burned tannins, and the peat character is evident.

Finish: Persistent oak and sherry aromas mixed with leather notes. Quite a long aftertaste.
