Description
Glenburgie 20 Year Old (Douglas Laing – Old Particular) Overview
Glenburgie 20 Year Old (1999: cask 13711) was bottled from Douglas Lane’s “Old Particular” series.
This single malt Glenburgie, also known as the key malt of Ballantine, was distilled at the Glenburgie distillery in December 1999 and packed in single refill hogshead casks.
After 20 years of aging, it was bottled by Douglas Laing for their own branded “Old Particular” series, limited to 336 bottles at 51.4% abv.
The long aging in hogshead casks has resulted in an honest and delicate Speyside single malt whisky.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of spiced and cooked apple, floral oak and cut grass.
