The theme centers on the refreshing scent of Hamagou (beach vitex) and the gentle sea breeze that signals spring’s arrival at the Kanosuke Distillery. To achieve the desired sense of “springlike sweetness,” the distillery employed a bold yet precise wood policy built around two key malts:
