Ron Zacapa
Ron Zacapa is a premium rum produced in Guatemala by Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala. Established in 1976, the brand is known for its use of virgin sugar cane honey rather than molasses, as well as its maturation at high altitude. As a rum, it follows a production approach that differs from many Caribbean styles.
The range includes expressions such as Zacapa 23, matured using a solera system combining rums of different ages. Compared to lighter column-still rums, Ron Zacapa is typically positioned as richer and more full-bodied. Its production method and ageing environment define its role within the premium rum category.
