Springbank 28 Year Old Fresh Port Hogsheads and Refill Bourbon Hogsheads is a 28-year-old single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown and released as the first Springbank Society exclusive bottling of 2026. Distilled in July 1997 and bottled in May 2026, it was released at 51.1% ABV in 350ml bottles, with a total outturn of 1,452 bottles.

This release spent its first 25 years maturing in Fresh Port Hogsheads before being transferred into Refill Bourbon Hogsheads in 2023 for a further three years of maturation. By combining long-term Port cask influence with a finishing period in refill bourbon wood, the whisky maintains balance without allowing the sweeter and fruit-driven cask characteristics to dominate excessively.

The bottling sits among the higher-age releases within recent Springbank Society exclusives and marks the first 28-year-old expression in the series since the 2021 release. Overall, it presents a style built around mature oak influence, layered with red fruit nuances, an oily texture, and the subtle warehouse complexity often associated with long-aged Springbank.
